Cavity Wall Insulation

Cavity Wall Insulation West Cork

The installation of Cavity Wall insulation is one of the most effective improvements a homeowner can make to his or her property. A typical household with Cavity Wall Insulation will retain two thirds of the heat it lost previously, with average savings of between €200 and €320 in energy costs each year.

As Energy costs continue to rise, Cavity Wall Insulation is one of the most cost-effective ways of reducing your heating bills. Grants are available through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) to help with the cost and with Energy suppliers continuing to increase their prices, it's a very worthwhile consideration.

Bonded Cavity Wall Polystyrene Beads

Bonded Bead is an expanded polystyrene bead made under strict quality control procedures to satisfy the increasing demand for lightweight, waterproof, solid and trouble-free insulation material.

EnviroBead is one of the leading cavity wall insulation beads on offer. It has a constant density, producing a natural matrix between the beads that, in turn, creates a drainage passage. As Envirobead resists the effect of gravity and does not settle, its qualities are maintained. Envirobead uses a durable adhesive to bind the beads together and maintains a ventilated cavity. The thermal conductivity of Envirobead is 0.033w/m k.

Envirobead use a two-stage expansion process and the beads are cured overnight. Quality assessments are constantly being carried out to ensure the high quality of the bead is always maintained.

Our beads are made from closed cellular plastic with constant density that does not absorb moisture and resists mildew. Envirobead products maintain shape, size, structure and physical appearance upon installation and there is no settling of the product.

The installation process is very simple: a series of 22mm holes (about the size of a euro coin) are drilled strategically in the external walls. The polystyrene beads are then pumped in through these points. As they are pumped into your home, each bead is lightly coated in a strong, specialised glue and when this sets, the beads will form a solid structure. This ensures the insulation remains in place if the cavity is opened again.

After the bead installation is finished, the holes are filled with cement and a dye is used where necessary. Savings of up to 25% on energy costs can be expected with a payback time of between four and six years.

Blown Cavity Wall - Rockwool Energy

Cavity Wall Insulation Rockwool Energy Saver is an entirely dry system that uses granulated R

The system may be used to improve the thermal insulation of both new and existing masonry cavity walls as well as certain types of non-traditional structures. Rockwool EnergySaver Blown Cavity Wool does not create a bridge or capillary path within the cavity that might allow rainwater to penetrate to the inner leaf.
